Long-time musician and activist, Billy Bragg, has announced that he will be on tour in North Amercia this September. Billy began the year by refusing to pay taxes to a government who bailed out UK banks and then allowed them to pay massive bonuses with taxpayer money.
In February, he performed with graduates of his Jail Guitar Doors initiative, a non-profit organization providing instruments to inmates of prisons. Later Billy played six specially written songs in a play entitled Pressure Drop about a working class family torn apart by racist politics. The play ran for four weeks against the backdrop of the UK general election.
