I just found out that Jam Master Jay was shot and killed. For those of you who don’t know who that is, Jay was the one man band behind Run DMC. Run DMC were my favorite rap band of all time. They really paved the way for the rap artists today. I never got to see Run DMC, mainly due to the fact that I was a stupid white kid from the suburbs and was too chicken to go when I was younger. When I got older, I couldn’t tell you why I never went, now I never will get to. I never met Jay, but I was a fan of his work and the news saddens me. I hope whoever the motherfucker was who killed him, gets his. And by getting his, I mean they lock him up for life in prison, he spends years getting bad things done to him, worse than you see on Oz, and then someone shanks him. A senseless killing (not that any killings make sense) to someone who brought me and others like me entertainment, and from what I read, sounded like a good man. My condolences go out to his family and friends.
