1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not?
I think I am pretty organized for the most part. Sometimes due to laziness I let things go, but not that often.
2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly?
Not really. Funny thing is I own a palm pilot, and I only really use it to keep my list of records on for when I go record shopping so I can look up something I may have forgotten if I have or not (yeah, it happens more than you think it would). My phone also has a little datebook thing which I will probably use more since it goes with me everywhere.
3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now?
Yes, both at work and at home. The one at home usually is a mess but since the record came out, I’ve been real good about keeping that desk, and that room, clean and organized.
4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter?
Yes, no and yes. I don’t have a ton of books so it doesn’t matter. My records and cds are alphabatized, else with that many I would never find anything. I also keep a list of every record I own on the computer so I can keep track of what I have (with 5000 vinyl records you have to). I don’t keep a list of the cds as I don’t really care about cds all that much, even though I have a ton of those as well.
5. What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever had to organize?
Maybe the work room in my basement, that thing was a disaster and with the help of SLO one day we got it cleaned up and organized really nice. Sitting down and entering my record collection into the comptuer (this back when I only had about 1000 records) took a ton of time as well, but I’m glad I did it when I did, and not a few years later when it was twice the size.
