Thor sent me this link which prints an email exchange between Steve Jobs of Apple (makers of the iPod that I love so greatly) and Tony Brummel of Victory Records. I used to know Tony when he was a teenager and we used to trade records, which was neither ever pleasant or without difficulty. It is nice to see that he still applies similar twisted logic in his old age as he did back then when he was trying to bilk me out of records. It’s a pretty fascinating read if you have a few minutes.

Is Victory really the #1 independent around? I would have thought that Epitaph was bigger. Its funny that Tony would want iTunes to make a big deal about Victory being on iTunes. Just a month or two ago he criticized iTunes for compromising the “artistic vision” bands have by allowing people to pick and choose songs they wanted off albums.
i was starting to wonder how many times dude was going to mention “#1 Independent Record Label” in that whole thing.
I wonder how many people noticed the tags soapy+jack.
;^)
The Soapy Jack tag was the best part!!!
