There is an unusually high amount of referrals from various Yahoo accounts on the referral feed at the bottom right of this page, and they are all different ones. Does anyone know where they are all coming from and why?

You ask what gives? I think your motivation in this was to draw attention to the visitors to this site and I don’t believe you bring in that much traffic. I believe you inflated the numbers to look big.
That has to be the most retarded thing I have ever heard. I have a lot better things to do than to sign up for a bunch of different yahoo accts and visit my own site, like writing content for this site for example.
I get plenty of visitors to this site without having to come up with some assinine scheme like you suggest.
Thanks for the insight Moron.
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago when Rock and Roll Report linked me on their page in a post.
Some blogs have associated Yahoo groups and they essentially send out each post to the group as a message. So chances are some blog linked to you or posted about you and then sent it out to their yahoo group.
Just a guess…
That guy’s a total assclown to even think of something so lame. I’ve been visiting this site for about a month now and have found it to be very informative and entertaining.
Loved the R.O.T.A. flashback, btw. I remember them from a compilation tape someone made for me back in ’84. It also included a band on there that had a song about Jodie Foster (no, not J.F.A.) that had the refrain “I’m in love with Jodie Foster”. I have been searching for more than 20 years to find out who the artist was. The only clue I’ve been able to come up with is that it maybe a band called “Subterfuge”.
Sorry for going off on such a wild tangent… hahaha.
