Dark Dave tipped me off yesterday on something that if I have to sell blood to scrape together some money to go to, I’ll do it.
Don’t Miss The Reunion of the Chicago Bands and Musicians That Made the 70’s Punk Scene Sizzle
Performances by:
Vendooza (former members of Tu Tu & the Pirates, The Swingers & Clox)
Tu Tu and the Pirates
The Swingers
Bonemen of Barumba
Read that last line again… The Bonemen of Barumba are doing a reunion show! That may not mean much to a lot of people, but to me, a long time fan of that band who never got to see them before, it means a lot! I am really excited to see them play and hopefully get some info from them about the history of the Bonemen and what they are doing these days. I did a “Selections from The Punk Vault” feature on one of their records awhile back and they put out a total of 3 records before they called it day.
Thor is in town and he’ll be attending the show with me and I hope to get the Klowns in on the fun as well. I think a night out is just what I need to get out of this slump I’ve been in lately.
Hey Mike, The Effigies are also playing an all ages show at McGaw hall in Depaul. I’ll be at both shows that night. If we cross paths I got you on a beer.
Rob,
Looks like I’m gonna try and swing going to both (though it is gonna wipe me out financially) so by all means come up and say hello! And I’ll gladly accept a beer, thanks!!!!
