Thanks to the generosity of Pod, I got to go see Batman Begins at an Imax theatre on Wednesday nite. I really liked it a lot, it was a great movie and In my opinion it easily tops all previous Batman films, even the first one (which I really liked). It was very true to the comics, especially the Batman Year One story. It was also cool to see how they used the streets of my city, Chicago, as the set for Gotham City, and then digitally enhanced them to add different buildings, trains, etc.
Tomorrow is my next pinball league. If we were playing Star Trek:TNG I’d say I would be in fine shape as I’ve been kicking ass on that game lately. Sadly we are not, but there is still a fine selection of games to play and I’m also looking forward to playing Dan’s big bowlilng game, which is always a good time.
The final new news is Lady Combustion and I got a puppy. Well, Lady C really did as she bought it and pays for all things dog, but since I’m the one who is jobless, I’m the one taking car of her all day. The dog is super cute and quite a handful at times. It was hard to find one that didn’t bother my allergies but we did, and this is the first time I’ve been a pet owner aside from having a goldfish or two when I was younger.
