I am really looking forward to having 4 days off in a row from work, I can’t tell you how much I need it. I have a laundry list of things I want to get done over the next few days, one of which is laundry!
Tonite is the Since By Man show. They are playing second on a 4 band bill, which means not only do I have to skip out of work a bit early to get there in time since it is a very early show, but it also means that I will get out of there real early because I’m not staying for all the bands. This will give me time to hit the store on the way home for some missing ingredients for the Thanksgiving feast at the Manor. Which brings me to my next topic.
Tomorrow will be the first time I have Thanksgiving day at Combustion Manor since my sister moved away to MA. Lady Combustion and I are preparing the feast and I’m having a couple friends come over who had nothing to do for the holiday. Hopefully it will turn out good as it is my favorite meal of the entire year, plus the days of leftovers that I never get tired of. While the feast cooks, I hope to record some cds of these old local band demos that were given to me by an old friend.
Friday Isis, Pelican, These Arms Are Snakes, and Sweet Cobra are playing together at Metro. This is a stellar lineup as it is almost every new band that I like all in one place! This will be the first time I go to the Metro in a few years as well. The last time I ever went there was to see Ohgr. I don’t care much for the place since my sister no longer works there, but for this show I must go there.
Aside from that, I have to finish up redoing the booklet for the NOFX CD on Mystic Records as I finally got the materials in the mail that I needed for that. I also plan to watch a few DVDs in my time off as well.
I’m sure I’ll fit in some more “Selections from The Punk Vault” too this weekend. Have a nice holiday everyone.
