Chicago Thrash Ensemble reissue

The Chicago Thrash Ensemble 12″ EP was one of the best records to come out of Chicago the past couple of years. On top of the great music on the record, the packaging was really cool too and so was the price (especially when compared to what some labels are charging for their releases these days). If you were foolish enough to sleep on it then you missed out on the first pressing and should promptly ground yourself to your room without television for at least a month. However all is not lost and you have a chance to redeem yourself.

The band pressed up a very small batch to hold you over until they finish recording a new record so if you missed out on this record the first time you have one last chance, EVER, to grab one of these for your own punk vault. Not only can you once again get this for the price of what a gallon of gas is striving to cost, but the packaging got a face lift. The record now comes on clear vinyl and is housed in a clear acetate sleeve that was hand screened. Just like the first pressing, it comes with a set of band baseball cards printed in full color and housed in a mylar baseball card sleeve.

They only made 100 of these so if you want to score one for yourself you best not sleep on it this time. You can get one direct from the label or better still from the band itself at their upcoming show this friday. The band is playing a show this Friday here in Chicago at Mutiny where admission is the low price of FREE. Who said Good Friday wasn’t good? You can go to the show, get some affordable beers and pick up one fine record just in time for Easter. Check out the flyer below for details on the show.
